When The Beautiful South announced their split in January 2007 a void was left in many people’s lives.

With a career spanning three decades their music and the writing skills of Paul Heaton and Dave Rotheray has found a special place in our hearts. This book shows their impact on 40 people who have come together to share their Beautiful South stories. For many this was their first venture into public writing, for some it will be their last! Remarkably we have contributions from three generations of one family.
